Alix von Melle, born in Hamburg in 1971, is currently the most successful German high-altitude climber with seven eight-thousanders climbed, without the use of artificial oxygen. She lives with her husband Luis Stitzinger in Füssen, in the Ostallgäu region and spends time him whenever the opportunity arises; while mountaineering, climbing and on ski tours. Alix is active as a lecturer, PR specialist and yoga instructor.
